AGREEMENT
ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LATVIA AND
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA
The Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, in accordance with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations done on April 18, 1961, hereby agree to establish diplomatic relations and to exchange diplomatic representatives as soon as possible.
The Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia are committed to promoting friendship and cooperation between the two Republics based on principles of mutual respect, sovereignty, equality and non-interference in internal affairs.
Until such time as diplomatic representatives are appointed, relations will be maintained through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of each Republic.
This Agreement will be published in Riga and Ljubljana on September 30, 1991.
