Sporazum se v slovenskem in v angleškem jeziku glasi*:
S P O R A Z U M <BR>MED VLADO REPUBLIKE SLOVENIJE&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;IN VLADO REPUBLIKE BOLGARIJE&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<BR>O ODPRAVI VIZUMOV
Vlada Republike Slovenije in Vlada Republike Bolgarije (v nadaljnjem besedilu pogodbenici), sta se v želji, da olajšata potovanja svojih državljanov in razvijata prijateljske odnose med državama, dogovorili o naslednjem:
Državljani vsake pogodbenice, ki imajo veljavne potne listine, določene v prilogi k temu sporazumu, lahko vstopijo na ozemlje druge pogodbenice na vsakem za to določenem mejnem prehodu in tam ostanejo največ do 90 (devetdeset) dni v obdobju 6 (šestih) mesecev, ne da bi jim bilo treba pridobiti vizum.
Državljani vsake pogodbenice, ki želijo vstopiti na ozemlje druge pogodbenice za obdobje, daljše od 90 (devetdeset) dni ali z namenom zaposlitve ali študija, si morajo – z izjemo iz 3.člena tega sporazuma – pred prihodom pridobiti potrebno dovoljenje pristojnih organov države druge pogodbenice.
1. Državljani vsake pogodbenice, ki imajo veljavne diplomatske, službene ali druge nacionalne potne liste in opravljajo uradne dolžnosti kot člani diplomatske misije, konzulata ali mednarodne organizacije na ozemlju druge pogodbenice, so oproščeni vizumov za vstop in bivanje za čas opravljanja njihovih uradnih dolžnosti, potem ko je bila o tem obveščena sprejemna država.
2. Ista določila veljajo tudi za družinske člane (mož, žena in otroci, ki živijo z njimi v skupnem gospodinjstvu) oseb, ki so omenjene v prejšnjem odstavku.
Ta sporazum ne odvezuje državljanov vsake pogodbenice obveznosti, da spoštujejo veljavne zakone in predpise druge pogodbenice.
Vsaka pogodbenica si pridržuje pravico, da nezaželenim osebam zavrne pravico do vstopa ali bivanja v državi.
Organi vsake pogodbenice brez formalnosti sprejmejo nazaj na svoje ozemlje svoje državljane.
1. Pogodbenici si bosta izmenjali vzorce veljavnih potnih listin po diplomatski poti najmanj 30 (trideset) dni pred začetkom veljavnosti tega sporazuma.
2. Če ena od pogodbenic spremeni potne listine ali vpelje nove potne listine po uveljavitvi tega sporazuma, pošlje drugi pogodbenici po diplomatski poti vzorce teh listin najmanj 30 (trideset) dni pred njihovo vpeljavo.
Vsaka pogodbenica lahko iz razlogov državne varnosti, javnega reda ali javnega zdravja začasno preneha uporabljati predhodne določbe v celoti ali delno, razen 6.člena tega sporazuma. Tako prenehanje uporabe se mora nemudoma sporočiti drugi pogodbenici po diplomatski poti.
Ta sporazum se sklene za nedoločen čas. Vsaka pogodbenica ga lahko kadarkoli odpove s predhodnim 30 (trideset) dnevnim pisnim obvestilom po diplomatski poti.
Ta sporazum začne veljati na dan prejema zadnje od not, s katerima se pogodbenici medsebojno obvestita o izpolnitvi vseh notranjepravnih pogojev, ki so potrebni za začetek njegove veljavnosti.
Sestavljeno v Ljubljani dne 5. novembra 2001 v dveh izvirnikih v slovenskem, bolgarskem in angleškem jeziku, pri čemer so vsa besedila enako verodostojna. V primeru razlik pri razlagi prevlada angleško besedilo.

Potni dokumenti, ki so veljavni v okviru tega sporazuma, so:
za državljane Republike Slovenije:
(a) potni list;
(b) diplomatski potni list;
(c) službeni potni list;
(c) pomorska knjižica;
(d) potni list za vrnitev.
za državljane Republike Bolgarije:
(a) potni list;
(b) diplomatski potni list;
(c) pomorska knjižica;
(d) začasni potni list za vrnitev v Republiko Bolgarijo.
A G R E E M E N T <BR>BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA ON THE ABOLITION OF VISA REQUIREMENTS

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties),
    desiring to facilitate travels of their citizens and to develop friendly relations between the two countries,
    have agreed as follows:

Article 1

Citizens of either Contracting Party holding valid travel documents, as specified in the Annex to the present Agreement, shall be free to enter the territory of the other Contracting Party at any authorized border-crossing point and to stay there for a period not exceeding 90 (ninety) days during 6 (six) months without being required to obtain a visa.

Article 2

Citizens of either Contracting Party, who wish to enter the territory of the other Contracting Party, for a period exceeding 90 (ninety) days or for the purpose of employment or studies, with the exception of the case referred to in Article 3 of this Agreement, shall obtain the necessary permit from the competent authorities of the other Contracting Party before their arrival.

Article 3

1. Citizens of either Contracting Party holding valid diplomatic, service or other national passports exercising official functions in the territory of the other Contracting Party as members of a diplomatic mission, consular office or international organization shall be exempted, after notifying the Receiving Country, from visa requirements for entry and stay there for the period of their exercising official functions.
    2. The same arrangements shall be applied to family members (husband/wife and children living in common household) of persons mentioned in the precedent Paragraph.

Article 4

The present Agreement does not release the citizens of either Contracting Party from the obligation to respect the laws and regulations in force in the other Contracting Party.

Article 5

Either Contracting Party reserves the right to refuse permission to enter or stay in the country to persons considered undesirable.

Article 6

The authorities of either Contracting Party undertake to readmit without formality, into its territory, any of its citizens.

Article 7

1. The Contracting Parties shall exchange the specimens of their valid travel documents through diplomatic channels not later than 30 (thirty) days before the entry into force of the present Agreement.
    2. If either Contracting Party modifies its travel documents or introduces any new travel document after entry into force of the present Agreement, it shall provide the other Contracting Party with the specimens of such documents through diplomatic channels at least 30 (thirty) days before they are introduced.

Article 8

Either Contracting Party may temporarily suspend the foregoing provisions in whole or in part, except Article 6 thereof, for reasons of national security, public order or public health. Such suspension shall be notified immediately to the other Contracting Party through diplomatic channels.

Article 9

The present Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period. Either Contracting Party may terminate it at any moment with a 30 (thirty) days previous notice in writing through diplomatic channels.

Article 10

The present Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the receipt of the latter note by which the Contracting Parties notify each other of the fulfillment of all internal legal requirements necessary for its entry into force.
    Done at Ljubljana on 5th November 2001 in two originals, each in the Slovenian, Bulgarian and English languages, all the texts being equally authentic. In case of any difference in its interpretation, the English text shall prevail.

A N N E X <BR>to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on the Abolition of Visa Requirements

Travel documents valid within the framework of this Agreement are:
     
    For the citizens of the Republic of Slovenia:
    (a) Passport;
    (b) Diplomatic passport;
    (c) Service passport;
    (d) Seaman’s book;
    (e) Emergency passport.
     
    For the citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria:
    (a) Passport;
    (b) Diplomatic passport;
    (c) Seaman’s book;
    (d) Temporary passport for return to the Republic of Bulgaria.
