Sporazum se v izvirniku v slovenskem in angleškem jeziku glasi:*
S P O R A Z U M&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<BR>MED VLADO REPUBLIKE SLOVENIJE IN VLADO REPUBLIKE LITVE O VZAJEMNI UKINITVI VIZUMOV
Vlada Republike Slovenije in Vlada Republike Litve, v nadaljevanju: “pogodbenici”,
sta se v želji, da olajšata potovanja in razvijata prijateljske odnose med državama,
dogovorili o naslednjem:
Državljani države vsake pogodbenice, ki imajo veljavne potne liste, lahko vstopijo na ozemlje države druge pogodbenice na vsakem mejnem prehodu za mednarodni promet in tam ostanejo manj kot tri mesece, ne da bi jim bilo treba pridobiti vizum.
Državljani države vsake pogodbenice, ki želijo ostati na ozemlju države druge pogodbenice za obdobje, daljše od treh mesecev, si morajo pridobiti potrebno dovoljenje pristojnih organov določene države.
1. Državljani države vsake pogodbenice, ki imajo veljavne diplomatske ali službene potne liste in opravljajo uradne dolžnosti kot člani diplomatskega ali konzularnega predstavništva in mednarodne organizacije na ozemlju države druge pogodbenice, so oproščeni vizumov za vstop in bivanje za čas opravljanja njihovih dolžnosti.
2. Ista ureditev se uporabi tudi za družinske člane oseb, ki so omenjene v prvem odstavku, če imajo veljavne diplomatske ali službene potne liste.
Ta sporazum ne oprošča državljanov države vsake pogodbenice obveznosti, da spoštujejo zakone in predpise, ki veljajo v državi druge pogodbenice.
Vsaka pogodbenica si pridržuje pravico, da nezaželenim osebam ne dovoli vstopa ali bivanja v državi.
Organi vsake pogodbenice brez formalnosti sprejmejo svoje državljane nazaj na svoje ozemlje.
1. Pogodbenici si bosta izmenjali vzorce njunih veljavnih potnih listov po diplomatski poti najmanj 30 dni pred začetkom veljavnosti tega sporazuma.
2. Če ena od pogodbenic spremeni potne liste ali uvede novo potno listino po začetku veljavnosti tega sporazuma, pošlje drugi pogodbenici po diplomatski poti vzorce teh listin najmanj 30 dni pred njegovo uvedbo.
Vsaka pogodbenica lahko iz razlogov javnega reda ali varnosti začasno preneha izvajati predhodna določila v celoti ali delno, razen 6. člena. Tako prenehanje izvajanja se mora nemudoma sporočiti drugi pogodbenici po diplomatski poti.
Ta sporazum se sklene za nedoločen čas. Vsaka pogodbenica ga lahko kadarkoli odpove s predhodnim 90dnevnim pisnim obvestilom drugi pogodbenici po diplomatski poti.
Ta sporazum morajo odobriti pristojni organi vsake pogodbenice v skladu z njuno zakonodajo in začne veljati 30 dni po izmenjavi ustreznih sporočil v zvezi s tem.
Sestavljeno v dveh izvodih v Ljubljani dne 6. maja 1996, v slovenskem, litvanskem in angleškem jeziku, pri čemer so vsa besedila enako verodostojna. V primeru razlik pri razlagi velja angleško besedilo.

A G R E E M E N T&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<BR>BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA ON THE MUTUAL ABOLITION OF VISA REQUIREMENTS

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, hereinafter referred to as “Contracting Parties”,
    desiring to facilitate travels and to develop friendly relations between the two countries,
    have agreed as follows:

Article 1

Citizens of the state of either Contracting Party holding valid national passports, shall be free to enter the territory of the state of the other Contracting Party at any authorised border-crossing point and to stay there for a period not exceeding three months without being required to obtain a visa.

Article 2

Citizens of the state of either Contracting Party, who wish to stay in the territory of the state of the other Contracting Party, for a period exceeding three months, shall obtain the necessary authorisation from the competent authorities of the country concerned.

Article 3

1. Citizens of the state of either Contracting Party holding valid diplomatic or service passports exercising official functions in the territory of the state of the other Contracting Party as members of a diplomatic or consular mission and international organisation shall be exempted from visa requirements for entry and stay there for the period of their assignment.
    2. The same arrangements shall be applied to family members of persons mentioned in paragraph 1, provided they are holders of valid diplomatic or service passports.

Article 4

The present Agreement does not release the citizens of the state of either Contracting Party from the obligation to respect the laws and regulations in force in the state of the other Contracting Party.

Article 5

Either Contracting Party reserves the right to refuse permission to enter or stay in the country to persons considered undesirable.

Article 6

The authorities of either Contracting Party undertake to readmit without formality, into its territory, any of its citizens.

Article 7

1. The Contracting Parties shall exchange the specimens of their valid passports through diplomatic channels not later than 30 days before the entry into force of the present Agreement.
    2. If either Contracting Party modifies its passports or introduces any new travel document after entry into force of the present Agreement, it shall provide the other Contracting Party with the specimens of such documents through diplomatic channels at least 30 days before they are introduced.

Article 8

Either Contracting Party may temporarily suspend the foregoing provisions in whole or in part, except Article 6 thereof, for reasons of public order or national security. Such suspension shall be notified immediately to the other Contracting Party through diplomatic channels.

Article 9

The present Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period. Either Contracting Party may terminate it at any moment with a 90 days previous notice in writing through diplomatic channels.

Article 10

The present Agreement is subject to the approval of the relevant authorities of each Contracting Party in accordance with their respective national legislation and shall enter into force 30 days after the exchange of notifications relating thereto.
    Done in duplicate at Ljubljana, on 6th May 1996 in Slovene, Lithuanian and English languages, all being equally authentic. In case of any difference in its interpretation, the English text shall prevail.
