The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan present their compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and have the honor to convey hereby the desire of the Republic of the Sudan to establish diplomatic relations with the friendly Republic of Slovenia in accordance with the respective purposes and principles of the Charter of the "United Nations" and with the relevant international treaties.

The Government of the Republic of the Sudan is confident that establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries will secure their common interests, and will contribute to the strengthening of the international cooperation, world peace and stability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan welcomes concluding the necessary bilateral agreement for establishing of diplomatic relations by exchange of notes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan avail themselves of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia the assurances of its highest consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sudan and has the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the note Nr. MFA/PR/l/B/1 of 1 December 1993, which reads as follows:

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan present their compliments to the. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and have the honor to convey hereby the desire of the Republic of the Sudan to establish diplomatic relations with the friendly Republic of Slovenia in accordance with the respective purposes and principles of the Charter of the "United Nations" and with the relevant international treaties.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan welcomes concluding the necessary bilateral agreement for establishing of diplomatic relations by exchange of notes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia has the honor to convey to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan the full consent of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia to the agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The Ministry suggests that the date of this note be considered the date of establishment of diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan the assurances of its highest consideration.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan izraža svoje spoštovanje Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije in ima čast prenesti željo Republike Sudan po vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov s prijateljsko Republiko Slovenijo v skladu s cilji in načeli Ustanovne listine »Združenih narodov« ter ustreznimi mednarodnimi pogodbami.

Vlada Republike Sudan je prepričana, da bo vzpostavitev diplomatskih odnosov med obema državama zaščitila njune skupne interese in prispevala h krepitvi mednarodnega sodelovanja, svetovnega miru in stabilnosti.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan pozdravlja sklenitev potrebnega dvostranskega sporazuma o vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov z izmenjavo not.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan tudi ob tej priložnosti ponovno izraža Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije svoje odlično spoštovanje.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije izraža svoje spoštovanje Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Sudana in ima čast potrditi prejem note št. MFA/PR/l/B/1 z dne 1. decembra 1993, ki se glasi:

»Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan izraža svoje spoštovanje Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije in ima čast prenesti željo Republike Sudan po vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov s prijateljsko Republiko Slovenijo v skladu s cilji in načeli Ustanovne listine »Združenih narodov« ter ustreznimi mednarodnimi pogodbami.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan pozdravlja sklenitev potrebnega dvostranskega sporazuma o vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov z izmenjavo not.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan tudi ob tej priložnosti ponovno izraža Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije svoje odlično spoštovanje.«

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije ima čast sporočiti Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan, da Vlada Republike Slovenije v celoti soglaša s sporazumom o vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov.

Ministrstvo predlaga, da se datum te note šteje za datum vzpostavitve diplomatskih odnosov na ravni veleposlaništev.

Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije tudi ob tej priložnosti izraža Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Sudan svoje odlično spoštovanje.
