Razkrinkana normativnost. Avtor v tem komentarju knjige The Many Faces of Normativity (2013) kritično izpostaviti nekatere skupne lastnosti več izbranih prispevkov, ki sestavljajo obravnavano delo. Najprej izriše Audijev pogled na poskuse naturalizacije normativnosti ter analizo normativnih pojmov Jappa Hageja. Zatem očrta dva napada na delitev dejstvo/najstvo, s katerima se utrjuje nekatere argumente, ki jih na podlagi iste delitve navadno zavračamo vsaj od Davida Huma napre. Avtor za konc analizira še več prispevkov s skupno redukcionistično težnjo: razlago normativnosti namreč povezujejo s hipotezami s cvetočega področja nevroznanosti.

The author carries out a review of the book The Many Faces of Normativity (2013), attempting to highlight some common features emerging throughout the various chapters that comprise the work under consideration. After addressing Robert Audi’s view about attempts toward the naturalization of normativity, and Jaap Hage’s analysis of normative concepts, the author takes up two attacks against the is/ought distinction that favour arguments considered fallacious – on the basis of the said distinction – at least since David Hume. Subsequently, the author analyses a number of contributions having a common tendency. In his opinion, their (somewhat reductionist) tendency of linking together the explanation of normativity with the hypotheses from the booming field of neurosciences gives to the revised work as a whole a special character.
