JOINT COMMUNIQUE
The government of the Republic of Slovenia and the government of the Republic of Cape Verde, with a view to developing the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples, have decided, as of this date, to establish diplomatic relations in conformity with the principles of international law, in particular, the principle of sovereign equality of states, mutual respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of states, the non-interference in the internal affairs, the peaceful solution of international conflicts, self-determination of peoples and the observance of obligations under applicable international law.
The government of the Republic of Slovenia and the government of the Republic of Cape Verde have agreed to exchange non resident ambassadors as soon as possible.
