Na podlagi tretjega odstavka 63. člena zakona o zunanjih zadevah (Uradni list RS, št. 1/91-I) izdaja Vlada Republike Slovenije

o ratifikaciji sporazuma med Vlado Republike Slovenije in Vlado Republike Singapurja 6 vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov

1. člen

Ratificira se sporazum med Vlado Republike Slovenije in Vlado Republike Singapurja o vzpostavitvi diplomatskih odnosov, sklenjen z izmenjavo not z dne 4. junija in 25. avgusta 1992.

2. člen

Sporazum se v izvirniku v angleškem jeziku in slovenskem prevodu glasi:

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore and has the honour to thank for the decision of the Government of the Republic of Singapore to recognise the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Slovenia.

Slovenia will highly appreciate if diplomatic relations between Singapore and Slovenia could be. established in the nearest future in order to develop friendly and mutually beneficial relations between our two countries.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia avails itself of this opportunity to present to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore the assurances of its highest consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and has the honour to refer to the latter's Note dated 4 June 1992.

The Ministry is pleased to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia that the Government of Republic of Singapore has agreed to establish full diplomatic relations with the Government of Republic of Slovenia. The Ministry proposes that an announcement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of Slovenia be made simultaneously in Singapore and Ljubljana on 7 September 1992 at GMT 1000 hours. A draft joint press statement is attached for the consideration of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.

The Ministry would appreciate it if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia would confirm the agreement of the government of Slovenia to the release of a joint press statement on 7 September 1992 at GMT 1000 hours.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia the assurances of its highest consideration.
