POVZETEK
Author presents in this article an overview of Slovenian public sector salary system as a part of administrative legal legal system. The public sector salary system regulates monthly pecuniary calculation and pay out of base salaries, performance pay and bonuses for employed civil servants and holders of public office and a legal system for harmonising salaries among social partners and removing disparities between the salaries of individual categories of public sector employees. The Public Sector Salary System Act began to be used in August 2008. The relativley new public sector salary system regime introduced a fundamental new feature in comparison with the earlier law, as it stated that for most public sector employees, base salaries and bonuses, as well as criteria for the pay out of funds for regular work performance of employees, are to be determined through a collective agreement for the public sector or through a collective agreement for an individual activity. In this way, a range of work posts/titles and the classification thereof into salary grades is determined for most public sector employees. Author concludes with remarks that relatively new public sector salaries sysetm is transparent. Salaries are made public on the website of the Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Public Legal Records and Related Services (commonly referred to by the Slovene acronym AJPES). Pursuant to the Public Sector Salary System Act, salaries in the public sector are public. The public has access to information on work posts, titles and offices, base salaries, bonuses and the performance part of salaries.
