Simpozij za pravno in socialno filozofijo v organizaciji Društva za pravno in socialno filozofijo ter Pravne fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani je namenjen predstavitvi najnovejših dognanj in del v nastajanju s področij teorije, sociologije in filozofije prava. V članku je podan kratek povzetek ter komentar prispevkov udeležencev letošnjega simpozija. Ti so se v svojih predstavitvah dotaknili nekaterih temeljnih konceptov pravnega reda ter pri tem odprli tudi številna aktualna pravna in širša družbenopolitična vprašanja. Na simpoziju se je vnovič pokazal pomen teh pravnih ved za razumevanje pravnega sistema in za iskanje odgovorov na različne izzive, s katerimi se družba danes sooča.

The Symposium on legal and social philosophy, organized by the Association for Legal and Social Philosophy and University of Ljubljana Faculty of Law, is intended to present the latest findings and works in progress in the fields of legal theory, sociology and philosophy of law. The report offers a brief summary and commentary of conference papers presented by the participants of this year’s symposium. In their presentations, the participants touched on some of the key concepts of the legal system and raised a number of current legal and wider socio-political issues. Thus they have demonstrated the importance of legal theory, sociology and philosophy of law for understanding the legal system as well as for finding the answers to various challenges our society currently faces.
