Avtor predstavi knjigo Lyde Friederike Müller, v kateri obravnava neodvisnost in nepristranskost sodišč po 6. členu Evropske konvencije o človekovih pravicah (Anforderungen der Europäischen Menschenrechtskonvention und spezifische Probleme in den östlichen Europaratstaaten. Duncker & Humblot, Berlin 2015, 329 strani). Avtorica v uvodnem delu predstavi splošne zahteve, ki jih morajo države članice izpolnjevati glede neodvisnosti in nepristranskosti sodišč po 6. členu EKČP, v nadaljevanju pa zlasti konkretne razmere v vzhodnih državah članicah Sveta Evrope: Rusiji, Ukrajini, Moldaviji, Gruziji.

The author reviews the book of Lyda Friederike Müller, in which she deals with independence and impartiality of the courts under Art. 6 of European Convention on Human Rights (Anforderungen der Europäischen Menschenrechtskon- vention und spezifische Probleme in den östlichen Europaratstaaten. Duncker & Humblot, Berlin 2015, 329 pages). At the beginning, the author presents the general requests to the member states as regards the independence and impar- tiality of the courts under Art. 6. of European Convention. Further, the author discusses the concrete circumstances in eastern member states of the Council of Europe: Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia.
