Ekipa pravne fakultete v Ljubljani se je tudi v 2021 udeležila prestižnega mednarodnega tekmovanja na področju poznavanja prava Evropske unije (European Law Moot Court). Tekmovanje, ki poteka v angleškem in francoskem jeziku, je bilo zaradi ukrepov za preprečitev pandemije organizirano prek platforme Zoom. Obravnavalo je kompleksno problematiko konkurenčnega prava glede proizvodnje cepiv proti virusu, ki je v EU in po svetu povzročil pandemijo, ter se v drugem delu dotaknilo tudi nekaterih perečih vprašanj azilnega prava. Teme, ki jih je primer odpiral, niso bile zanimive le za študente prava, temveč so širšega družbenega pomena. Ekipa Pravne fakultete se je na tekmovanju odlično odrezala in v kategoriji generalnega pravobranilca dosegla 3. do 4. mesto, v kategoriji strank pa 5. do 8. mesto.

From 25th to 27th March 2021, students form University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Law once again took part in a prestigious international competition in European Union law (European Law Moot Court). Due to the pandemic restrictions, the competition was held via the Zoom platform. This year, the moot covered complex competition and asylum law issues. The case assessed whether the production of vaccines against a virus that caused a pandemic was in line with EU competition law, whereas in the second part, it touched upon selected issues of asylum law and the principle of non-refoulement. The analyzed questions were not only interesting for the students but are of general public importance. The team of the Faculty of Law once again achieved great results and placed 3rd to 4th in the Advocate General category and 5th to 8th in the team category.
