POVZETEK
Ob 500. obletnici rojstva Martina Pegija (1523−1592), prvega znanega Kranjca, ki si je s svojim znanstvenim opusom priboril mednarodni sloves, je v preddverju knjižnice Pravne fakultete razstava njegovih del. Med razstavljenimi eksponati so izvirnik razprave o služnostih (1558), faksimile delnega prevoda Justinijanovega kodeksa (1566), izvirnik Poskusov pravnih mnenj (1564) ter leta 1924 izdani faksimile Pegijeve astrološke Knjige o rojstnih urah (1570). Poleg tega je javnosti prvič predstavljena stilizirana podoba Martina Pegija, ki se je ohranila na njegovem nagrobniku v Salzburgu.

In commemoration of the 500th anniversary of Martin Pegius’s birth (1523– 1592), the esteemed Carniolian jurist, renowned for his groundbreaking scientific contributions on the field of law, an exhibition showcasing his works is taking place in the foyer of the Faculty of Law library. The curated collection includes the original edition of his Tractatus on servitudes (1558), a facsimile of a partial translation of Justinian’s Code (1566), the Essays of Legal Opin- ions (1564), and a facsimile of Pegius’s astrological Book of Birth Hours (1570) published in 1924. Visitors have the unique opportunity to acquaint themselves with the newly discovered stylised portrayal of Martin Pegius, artfully preserved on his tombstone in Salzburg.
